Psychology Professor, Researcher, Academic Advisor, and Mentor
Greetings! Thank you for your interest in my webpage. My name is Shaan Shahabuddin and I am a Psychology Instructor at Seattle Central College. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and spent the majority of my life in this city that I will always call home.
I received my B.S. in Psychology in 2010 from Texas A&M University (Whoop! Aggies!) and my M.A. in 2012 from Stephen F. Austin State University (Go Lumberjacks!). In the Fall of 2012, I returned to Texas A&M to begin my PhD in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications. I am currently ABD and hopefully plan to finish my Doctorate in late 2017.
In the Fall of 2014, while I was working towards my PhD, I was awarded a fantastic opportunity to work as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Blinn College. This allowed me to develop my teaching pedagogy while opening the door to more opportunites (such as volunteering as an Advisor for the Psychology Club, co-directing a student research group, and working as an Academic Advisor to help students decide degree plans).
I am super excited to start my new journey in Seattle! I hope to meet fascinating people, engage in novel activities, develop new hobbies, and open my mind into a different way of perceiving the world. Please scroll below to learn more about my interest.
